Admixture/Pharmacy Technician

$2500 Sign On Bonus!

Willamette Valley Cancer Institute is looking for a Admixture/Pharmacy Technician to join their phenomenal team. The pharmaceutical treatment of cancer is specialized and ever-changing field. The team at WVCI is looking for a tech to help prepare, maintain, and deliver medications for our amazing patients. Our pharmacy department has both retail and admixture departments that support our patients' treatment journey. This also would allow technicians with strong retail experience to build on their skills, and work towards the higher levels of the pharmacy technician scope.

The general pay scale for this position at WVCI is $18.00 - $31.24. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry of all medication orders. Verifies patient information and proper physician authorization.
  • Works with pharmacy team to obtain insurance authorization and establish patient copays. Providing patients with assistance in seeking financial assistance for copays if needed.
  • Provide essential communication to patients to help establish newly order therapies and refills.
  • Assists in keeping accurate temperature logs.
  • Provide support with inventory control of medications. Receiving and placing medication orders.
  • Filing


Qualifications

  • High School or Equivalent
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a pharmacy
  • Pharmacy Tech Certificate Required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to direct contact with patients with potential for exposure to toxic substances, medicinal preparations, and chemotherapeutic agents.
